The home was fine. But really there was not much of anything other than a bed to sleep in. I was going to make chicken Alfredo for my family for dinner one night. I had to use a measuring cup to scoop out the sauce. There was one frying pan in the entire place that I had to clean first. One baking sheet that didn't fit an entire can of Pillsbury biscuits on it. If you need anything other than salt and pepper bring your own seasoning. The pillows and towels had stains on them and didn't smell fresh. We were left one and a half rolls of toliet paper for a 4 day stay with 4 of us... just was a bit of a bummer....

Such a charming house! My girls loved the bunk beds, and the house was spacious. Alexa had a great manual on the counter which we used for food, shopping and fun locations to see some beautiful waterfalls and lookouts. We will 100% be back and can’t wait to eat more key lime ice cream at the copper scoop!

The stay at Alexa’s place was lovely! Exactly as described and we appreciated the breezeway to keep our shoes and gear separate from relaxing in the house after a long day adventuring in the Keweenaw. Would stay again!

The house was great. Plenty of room for two couples to stay for the week. Very clean. It is close to trails so we could easily drive to them with our RZRS. We loved the fire pit. There wasn’t any wood when we got there so we just drive around until we found a roadside stand and bought some. No big deal for us but wanted to mention it. We also loved the patio and grill. Communication was great. I had a question about the trash and she was quick to respond. We look forward to coming back and exploring the UP some more next year.

Alexa’s house was clean and met our needs. It is nice to have a place big enough for our family of five. She had helpful recommendations for local restaurants. She had cute decorations too and I got spoiled with a dishwasher!

Really nice spot just outside Calumet. We were there for the ski trails, which were an easy 5 minute drive from the house. Kitchen is very modern and the house was tidy and spacious.

Alexa was a kind person who made the grill available at our request and fixed a bathroom leak before we arrived on January 1, quite a feat in the middle of nowhere.
The house itself is a mixed bag. A roomy living room but all 3 bedrooms upstairs sharing thin walls (no privacy). Nice spice rack and coffee for guests' use but barely enough plates. 4 chairs at the kitchen table in a house meant for 6.
The house is right at the relatively busy highway so even in the middle of the night, there is quite a bit of traffic noise - don't forget good earplugs!
There is no washer or dryer. For what the house offers, I would say it is pretty pricey, although, in all honesty, Mt. Bohemia skiers and snowmobilers make the entire area expensive. All in all, an OK experience.

The home was centrally located so we could travel on day trips in all directions easily. Calumet is a historical old town- we enjoyed that.

Great location for exploring the Keweenaw Peninsula

First time staying here for an annual mountain bike trip to Copper Harbor—and I can’t wait to come back and stay again soon. This clean, updated and cozy home was central to where we had planned to bike (Swedetown trails & Copper Harbor systems), close to local restaurants/grocery store, and—as we discovered—is only 20 mins away from Mt. Bohemia (for the snow season)!! I am still raving about the mudroom that fit 3 mountain bikes with room to SPARE, an adorable outdoor patio, and host provides VERY nice shampoo/conditioner (I have very long hair, not all soap is the same!). We can absolutely see our family of mountain bikers/snowboarders staying here again because you just can’t beat the location, homey comforts and the secured space for gear. We felt right at home!

We loved our stay here! The listing accurately described everything. Alexa was great with communication and giving local recommendations!

Last stop on our 10 days circle tour around Lake Superior and boy did it feel good to have a hot shower & comfy bed! The home is an older home (as all of Keweenaw is) but beautifully updated. We had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Located perfectly to area attractions and wonders and I highly recommend staying here. Be sure to check out the antique stores downtown & The Jam Pot not far away. Book it!

This place was absolutely amazing! The property is stunning—beautifully maintained, spotless, and thoughtfully organized. Every detail made our stay feel comfortable and welcoming. It truly felt like a home away from home. The location was great, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful and well-kept getaway 10/10! We stayed in this property for business purposes in town but I don’t thought I’ll be back for a getaway.

Great place to stay and close to the snowmobile trails.

A great place to stay. Easy drive to Mt. Bohemia and very close to everything you need in either Calumet or Houghton/Hancock. The WiFi/Internet was great if you need to get some work done as well!

Even though we didn't have the snow to rent our sleds we found enough to do in the area. Perfect location for snowmobiling and will definitely consider coming back when we plan another snowmobile trip to the UP.

It was exactly what we needed for our trip to the upper peninsula. The mattresses are very comfortable. Alexa prepared bread for our arrival!

You can’t go wrong staying here! The house is great, was very clean and we all felt very safe staying there. I wouldn’t look anywhere else if I was going to rent a place to stay up there again!

I would rent this house again; end of review, right? Reviews from others were accurate…clean, cute, & comfortable! Three of us stayed 2 nights, so it was a good fit for us; plenty of space for our purposes and we each had our own bedroom. The fan in the bedroom was helpful. My (short) adult daughter stayed in the twin bunk bed with no complaints. She didn’t need to use the closet that the bunk ladder was blocking. Having Disney as an option was nice since all 3 of us have Netflix. Yes, there was road noise due to the location on 41, but it didn’t impact our enjoyment of the place. Who wants to stay in a cramped motel room when this option is available? Thank you, Alexa, for making this an option for travelers!

Serviceable and clean. The “room” with the bunks is very small, would not be suitable for adults but our elementary aged kids did okay. AC struggled to keep up with the July heat. Thankfully the hosts have an additional window unit upstairs and fans in every room to help. As a busy family we appreciated the large “mud” room at the entry for dropping gear and getting ourselves organized and cleaned up at the end of each day.

Perfect place for trips with your family or with your friends. Well maintained stocked with what you’ll need and in a perfect place to explore the nearby waterfalls, explore copper harbor or simply enjoy the area

Awesome stay! Great location near Houghton with an easy drive to Copper Harbor and Mt. Bohemia, or anywhere in Keewenaw really! Super comfy beds, great kitchen and large living room space, highly recommend!

This is a very comfortable home in a convenient location. It offered everything we needed during our visit. We enjoyed making our own meals in the updated kitchen. The fresh bakery and coffee provided were a welcome treat to help start our mornings. The spacious back entryway was a bonus space we used to store our winter gear and dry our boots.

My friends enjoyed this home and the location close to the Cross country ski hill.

The house was beautiful and very comfortable. We loved that it was so close to the trails and to where we got our rentals. We would definitely stay here again!
